Description: CPR for all ages, AED use, bleeding control, seizures, poisoning, & other emergencies.
Length: 5 hours (no official breaks for meals, but we will have frequent breaks)

Certification: American Heart Association. You will receive your card on the day of class.

If you arrive with the 2016 Heartsaver book, you do not need to purchase a book. If you arrive without a book (or have an outdated version), you must buy one for $20. These are American Heart Association guidelines and every American Heart Association course has the same guidelines in the Bay Area & across the USA. Please note the current version of the Heartsaver class uses the 2015 AHA Guidelines; and the correct book has the 2016 copyright date inside the front cover.

Who should take this CPR & First-aid class
Teachers (clear credentials), summer camp counselors, coaches, foster care, social workers, maritime (US Coast Guard approved), nannies, parents, grandparents, babysitters (ten years or older), construction, acupuncture students (approved by State of CA Acupuncture Board), & general workplace.
Who should NOT take this CPR & First-aid training
Childcare providers who need EMSA certification must take the Pediatric First-aid/CPR class. Healthcare Providers must take the BLS class.
Children are not allowed in the classroom. For your convenience we offer free coffee, tea, granola bars, and a phone charging station.
